About Our Client:

Adecco is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Director to oversee our client's Commercial construction projects. Our client is Canada's top 20 general contracting companies based out of the Niagara region.

Our client is a prominent construction firm dedicated to delivering excellence in commercial and institutional projects. Operating in Ontario, they are committed to innovation, sustainability, and exceeding client expectations. We are currently seeking a seasoned Project Director to join their team and contribute to the success of our diverse and exciting projects in the Niagara region.

Position Overview:We are looking for a skilled Project Director with a strong background in commercial construction projects to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects in the Niagara region. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial conception through to completion, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals to successfully deliver commercial construction projects in the Niagara region.Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring that all objectives are met within established timeframes and financial parameters.Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or obstacles that may arise during the construction process.Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards, promoting a culture of safety and adherence to best practices on-site.Manage project risks and opportunities, proactively identifying and mitigating potential challenges while capitalizing on opportunities to enhance project outcomes.Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement, motivating and inspiring team members to achieve excellence in their work.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.Intimately familiar with CCDC contracts (2, 5A, 5B, 14)Experience as lead Project Manager of multiple CCDC2 ICI contracts of $10MM+Procore savvyAbility to build complex MS Project schedules and update on a weekly basis (tracking change events and delays) -examples welcomed.Experience in writing, prosecuting, and defending against claimsExperience working in the region or similar geographical area with knowledge of local regulations, codes, and permitting processes.Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.Proficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to effectively plan, monitor, and control project activities.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges.Benefits:
