We are seeking a skilled and detailed-oriented software QA to design and execute test cases, identify defects and work with stakeholders to ensure high-quality software. Overview We are seeking a skilled and detailed-oriented software QA to design and execute test cases, identify defects and work with stakeholders to ensure high-quality software. Quality Assurance Specialist is primarily a software tester role to support developers to ensure software defects are maintained at a low level and to have better success rate during user acceptance testing stage. The Role:
- Develop testing strategy and create test script
- Ability to generate full coverage test plan based on Specification Document.
- Facilitate execution of test plans and scripts, with proper documentation on testing conducted
- Creation of sample data for testing
- Manage defects, including the identification, logging, tracking and triaging of issues
- Identifying and coordinating the resolution of testing issues, defects and risks
- Track and report on QA progress to several audiences: development teams, project leaders, Project Manager, and client stakeholders
- Apply consistent quality assurance approach, following standardized testing models and guidelines, and deliver consistent quality across engagements
- Define, manage and perform UAT phase as needed, including assistance in test environment setup and pre-UAT briefing to end users
- Conduct black box software testing for code created by developers
- Maintain proper documentation
- Candidate with an IT Degree and relevant experience in this field
- 3 years of functional testing experience or have knowledge of functional testing methodology and testing tools.
- Excellent analytical and technical skills. Ability to understand user requirements and map into test strategy
- Experience in coding and using databases
- Understand of the software development life cycle and software testing
- Attention to details
- Possesses a high level of motivation and initiative
- Able to work independently and resourceful
- Strong presentation skills, with excellent English communication capabilities, both written and verbal
- Ability to generate detail, clear and accurate documentation.
