About the Department Established in 1986, UOB Asset management (UOBAM), a wholly-owned subsidiary of United Overseas Bank, is the Asian asset manager in the region with award-winning investment expertise across different asset classes. UOBAM is headquartered in Singapore and has an extensive presence in Asia with regional business and investment offices in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Brunei, Taiwan and Japan. Job Responsibilities An exciting opportunity awaits a candidate with strong entrepreneurial spirit, looking to build a strong business and leave a mark on a very dynamic geography. Someone who is a strong business builder, with a strong understanding of the regional business, to continue to build on the successes, drive change and accelerate growth. As such, he/she will be given the responsibility to design and implement or enhance the growth strategy in line with the operating model. The Head of Regional Institutional Business will be accountable for driving growth, bring best practices and put in place / enhance current processes and targets, manage accountability and drive KPIs. Specifically, we are looking for an accomplished leader with a wealth of experience, expertise, and proven results in regional institutional fund management marketing to play a pivotal role to lead and grow our institutional business in Asia. This person should have a driven passion, client focus mindset and the ability to work closely with professionals across UOBAM Group to develop and deliver sophisticated investment products and solutions. This role will report to a senior leadership role at UOBAM Group. Responsibilities Key responsibilities will include: • Develop and execute the regional institutional business strategy to attract and retain institutional clients such as pension funds, endowments and others aligning with the company's overall objectives. • Drive business development efforts, build and maintain strong client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and expand our institutional client base. • Leverages existing relationships with existing institutional accounts by developing and executing proactive, creative, and ongoing contact initiatives. • Effective leveraging of established partnerships across the group / bank wherever possible to bridge the gap and align our solutions offering with the client requirements. • Lead the team, collaborate with internal stakeholders like regional institutional sales and portfolio managers to ensure alignment of clients' objectives and goals, stay updated on market trends and deliver top-tier client service. • Oversee the creation and preparation of tailored investment solutions, sales presentations, negotiate terms and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies. • Collaborates with Marketing team on product and sales materials to ensure they are current and focused for the applicable presentation, conference, or opportunity. Job Requirements • Minimum 10 years' investment sales and marketing experience in a similar capacity in asset management, and/or experience providing capital market solutions to corporate or institutional clients in Asia. • Achievement-oriented to get deals done and funded with proven track record in institutional sales expansion in Asia. • Strong institutional client relationships and able to kickstart and fundraise quickly • Has prior experience leading and managing a team to achieve results in a regional institutional space. • Possesses good interpersonal/ relationship management, leadership, presentation, and communication skills. • Excellent customer skills and a strong sense of initiative, drive, hunger and ability to work under pressure to meet and exceed sales objectives. • Able to work independently effectively across multiple groups including regional offices and lines of business. • Deep knowledge and understanding of investment assets, strategies, products and ability to advise institutional investors on asset allocation studies and present investment proposals • CFA accreditation and/or fund management experience would be a strong advantage. This person should have a driven passion, client focus mindset and the ability to work closely with professionals across UOBAM Group to develop and deliver sophisticated investment products and solutions. <br> <br> <br> This role will report to a senior leadership role at UOBAM Group. <br> <br> <br> Responsibilities <br> <br> <br> Key responsibilities will include: <br> • Develop and execute the regional institutional business strategy to attract and retain institutional clients such as pension funds, endowments and others aligning with the company's overall objectives. <br> • Drive business development efforts, build and maintain strong client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and expand our institutional client base. <br> • Leverages existing relationships with existing institutional accounts by developing and executing proactive, creative, and ongoing contact initiatives. <br> • Effective leveraging of established partnerships across the group / bank wherever possible to bridge the gap and align our solutions offering with the client requirements. <br> • Lead the team, collaborate with internal stakeholders like regional institutional sales and portfolio managers to ensure alignment of clients' objectives and goals, stay updated on market trends and deliver top-tier client service. <br> • Oversee the creation and preparation of tailored investment solutions, sales presentations, negotiate terms and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies. <br> • Collaborates with Marketing team on product and sales materials to ensure they are current and focused for the applicable presentation, conference, or opportunity. <br> <br> <br> <br> <b> Job Requirements </b> <br>• Minimum 10 years' investment sales and marketing experience in a similar capacity in asset management, and/or experience providing capital market solutions to corporate or institutional clients in Asia. <br> • Achievement-oriented to get deals done and funded with proven track record in institutional sales expansion in Asia. <br> • Strong institutional client relationships and able to kickstart and fundraise quickly <br> • Has prior experience leading and managing a team to achieve results in a regional institutional space. <br> • Possesses good interpersonal/ relationship management, leadership, presentation, and communication skills. <br> • Excellent customer skills and a strong sense of initiative, drive, hunger and ability to work under pressure to meet and exceed sales objectives. <br> • Able to work independently effectively across multiple groups including regional offices and lines of business. <br> • Deep knowledge and understanding of investment assets, strategies, products and ability to advise institutional investors on asset allocation studies and present investment proposals <br> • CFA accreditation and/or fund management experience would be a strong advantage. <br> <br> <br> <br> <b> Be a part of UOB Family </b> <br> <br> <br> UOB is an equal opportunity employer.
