MEDICAL REPRESENTATIVE This position is based in Johannesburg, South Africa in Abbott Nutrition Division. Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. What You'll Do

• Build and maintain relationships with key pediatricians in the territory.
• Design appropriate strategy to achieve sales goals and targets in assigned territory.
• Achieve market share, volume growth and sales target in assigned territories by calling on all relevant healthcare professionals and institutions.
• Maintain prescribed customer call rate.
• Call on retail nurses and pharmacists.
• Establish and maintain relationships with customer base Identify new business opportunities.
• Attend trade displays and presentations which can involve after hours and weekends when required.
• Attend cycle meetings and conferences.
• Maintain appropriate expenditure.
• Compliance with company Code of Conduct.

Required Qualifications: Education: Relevant Medical and/or Commercial Tertiary qualification is essential. Expertise and Competencies:

• A minimum of 3 years sales experience in relevant healthcare industry ideally having dealt with HCP’s is essential, with previous experience calling on Pediatricians and maternity unit managers in the JHB North area is needed.
• Candidate with previous medical background is definitely an advantage in this role good communicator and self-motivated.
• Business planning acumen and ability. Assertive, Proactive and enthusiastic.
