Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

About the Role: As the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for our digital bank in Pakistan, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our digital financial services. You will lead and oversee all aspects of information security, risk management, and compliance to protect our customers' data and financial assets. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the information security strategy aligned with the bank's overall goals, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer data and bank assets
• Establish and maintain an effective cybersecurity governance framework, policies, and procedures to manage and mitigate security risks
• Identify, assess, and prioritize security risks, and implement measures to reduce vulnerabilities. Regularly report to the executive team and board on the state of cybersecurity
• Ensure compliance with relevant banking and data protection regulations in Pakistan, staying current with evolving regulatory requirements
• Oversee the day-to-day security operations, including incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management
• Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement robust security architecture, including network security, access controls, and encryption mechanisms
• Foster a culture of security awareness and training across the organization, making security everyone's responsibility
• Manage security assessments and due diligence for third-party vendors and partners
• Develop and maintain an incident response plan, ensuring swift and effective response to security incidents or breaches
• Manage the cybersecurity budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable
• Proven experience in a senior information security leadership role, ideally within the financial sector
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, technologies, and regulatory requirements
• Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to analyze complex security issues and provide strategic recommendations
