Job Description
- Supports the process of prequalification of new vendors and revalidation of the existing vendors as per company policy and Bahrain Tender Law to establish a reliable supplier base for meeting business requirements.
- Process applications submitted by the prospective vendors and communication of the company's policy to these prospective bidders.
- Support the assessment process of registration and the prequalification documents in line with company procedures from vendors selected for inclusion to Approved Vendor List (AVL).
- Coordinate site surveys at Vendors premises to assess their capabilities as per requirements.
- Coordinate with line departments and the Category Management Teams for initial review for addition to non-prequalified Bidder's list and issuance of temporary vendor codes enabling prospective bidders to participate in relevant tenders.
- Supports in conducting Counterparty Due Diligence (CDD) including Know Your Supplier (KYS) and Ultimate Beneficiary Owner (UBO) for all existing and new vendors.
- Compile prequalification reports including the Financial & Technical review reports and preparation of recommendations for internal / Tender Board approval as per Tender Law requirements.
- Develop applicable Pre-Qualification Forms/Templates, workflows, and procedures.
- Maintain and update iSupplier database as part of procurement support to the approved Contractors/Suppliers & vendors.
- Implement standard business work processes related to vendor management.
- Support in preparing the periodic reports to relevant authorities.
Qualifications
- Engineering or Supply Chain Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 3-year experience in Procurement processes with focus on vendor management
- Demonstrable experience in vendor management, contracts, and confidentiality agreements from a contracts and commercial prespective, as well as having a good knowledge of contract law.
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel) and Oracle iSupplier system.
- Strong communication skills and organizational skills
- Good attention to detail and high level of personal integrity.
