JOB SUMMARY TheIT Administrator - Infrastructure is responsible for maintaining computing systems, technology infrastructure and securing data from unauthorized access. TheIT Administrator - Infrastructure performs a number of tasks including installing, configuring and maintaining computer servers and the associated operating systems such as Windows and/or Unix. TheIT Administrator - Infrastructure performs operational tasks on the computing systems, ensuring the data is properly backed up and maintains systems hardware and software related to the infrastructure. TheIT Administrator - Infrastructure also performs programming/scripting to automate some of the operational functions and any other tasks related to the computing systems and the technology infrastructure. KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Collects and reviews system data for capacity and planning purposes.
- Installs, configures and maintains Unix and/or Windows computing servers.
- Installs, configures and maintains new software and hardware.
- Ensures systems security and data backup.
- Troubleshoots and solves server problems.
- Manages configures and maintains network switches and firewalls.
- Manages configures and maintains Azure subscriptions and resource groups.
- Performs systems administration on Unix and/or Windows computing servers.
- Monitors and tunes appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance.
- Analyzes capacity data and develops capacity plans for appropriate levels within the organization.
- Supports the design and configuration of complex informatics systems.
- Oversees and applies appropriate support packages/patches to maintain system integrity.
- Installs software and manages file systems, and troubleshoots alerts from monitoring tools.
- Performs programming/scripting to automate operational functions.
- Provides any other system administration function on the computing infrastructure.
- Provides advice and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
