Regulatory Analyst (Regulation)

Department: Consultancy Employment Type: Full Time Location: Dublin Compensation: €60,000 - €65,000 / month

Description

We are seeking to add a Regulatory Analyst to our Group Regulation team to lead on elements of the Group’s regulatory work programme and the implementation of the Group’s Regulatory Strategy. This role provides an opportunity to work within a high-profile team with senior personnel and with experienced subject matter and industry experts across a variety of disciplines. The applicant should have familiarity with established regulatory licence compliance, revenue and non-revenue concepts and principles with specific knowledge of the energy industry.

Key Responsibilities

· Deliver regulatory reports, develop business proposals related to price control incentive frameworks, run public consultations, and prepare recommendations for CRU approval on the basis of consultation responses received. · Research and analyse specific regulatory topics. · Lead on the delivery of annual revenue recovery requirements and associated reporting obligations. · Provide regulatory support to other areas of the business in respect of relevant regulatory issues. · Lead cross functional company responses to regulatory consultations to influence agreed strategic outcomes. · Build an effective and trusted relationship with the Regulatory Authorities, managing and delivering regulatory requirements in a timely manner. · Act as Group Regulation lead for specific regulatory and commercial deliverables including as point of contact with the Regulatory Authorities in respect of same. · Support the Group Head of Regulation and Team Leads in relation to strategic regulatory projects and the implementation of Regulatory Strategy.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

· Degree or other recognised qualification in business, economics, engineering or a closely related discipline. · Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role, in a multidisciplinary environment. · Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. · Ability to draft and present documentation in a rational, evidence-based, clear and concise manner. · High level of attention to detail and pride in one’s own work. · Proficiency in MS Excel. · Ability to work as part of a team, while also being able to define and guide work under minimal supervision. · Demonstrated flexible working approach with ability to lead and prioritise a wide range of demands and activities whilst maintaining a professional and positive focus. · Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical abilities coupled with the ability to make reasoned judgements based on available information. Desirable · Experience of advising a sector-specific regulator or governmental organisation, and/or of working in an energy environment. · Willing to independently diversify knowledge base to appreciate wider legal/technical/economic aspects of energy regulation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
