The Opportunity Cpl is working on a superb opportunity for an enthusiastic, and experienced HR Director to join an established contractor in the Mechanical, Electrical, Renewables, FM and HVAC markets. This business is renowned for delivering high level services across domestic, commercial, public and private sectors throughout Northern Ireland, Ireland and the UK. This is a very unique opportunity for a Senior HR candidate who wants to learn, who works agilely and has the ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment. This role requires an experienced dedicated individual who is highly organised and understands business delivery. Your new role As HR Director the successful candidate will join the Senior Management Team, driving the strategic direction and supporting their peers. This role will lead a well-established HR team to help support the company in its journey of stabilisation and growth, and to support in the further development of the experienced HR Manager and team who manage the HR function, processes, and procedures to a very high level. Due to the sector, we operate within, the successful candidate will be experienced in managing TUPE transfers as the incoming and outgoing employer, have a track record of driving organisational change and design with a focus on delivery and the roll out of new approaches, eg performance management. Responsibilities will include: •The HR Director will be responsible for the support and development overall HR Generalist remit. •Leading complex TUPE transfers. •Leading organisational change, consultation, and through the introduction/ roll out of new or changing policies as required. •Introducing, rolling out and achieving buy in for a formalised performance management approach. •Oversee employee relations, absence management, recruitment and disciplinaries. •Working at a strategic level, guiding the senior leadership lead to achieve long term success, ultimately establishing the organisation as an employer of choice. •Ensure regulatory and legislative compliance from a HR point of view. •Lead the development and creation of a HR strategy with the HR team to support the expanding business. •Business Governance – Oversee business governance with SMT. Person Specification •6+ years' HR experience working at a senior/ executive team level. •Experience of leading an HR Team with a focus on personal development and growth. •Experience working in a complex, changeable environment. •A proven track record of driving organisation changes to meet future business needs. •Commercially aware, with the ability to drive culture agenda effectively. •Experience of leading and delivery HR projects linked to retention, attraction, and talent development. •Strong stakeholder management skills, at a senior level •Degree educated or CIPD qualified. •Excellent problem solver. •Ability and preference to work on their own initiative. •Excellent communicator, confident to operate and influence at all levels within a business. •Open, honest, confident, strong willed and influential. •Experience of managing complex TUPE transfers. Desirable: •Experience within Mechanical, Electrical, Renewables, Building, or Construction sectors.
