Our client, a leader in the industrial gas industry, is seeking a Process Control & Instrumentation Engineers to join their team. You’ll manage deliverables and provide regular progress reports to project management, including reviewing SIL assessments, authoring SIL verifications, and participating in Control System Design reviews. Additionally, you’ll address Cyber Security aspects, participate in Factory Acceptance Testing, and oversee the production and maintenance of instrument summaries. Job Title: Process Control & Instrumentation Engineers Location: Allentown, PA About the Role:
- Develop process controls execution strategies in collaboration with the project development team.
- Participate in P&ID development and Operability and Hazard Reviews to ensure optimal control system design.
- Create, review, or approve specifications for various process control equipment, including control valves, relief valves, flow measurement devices, process instrumentation, analytical systems, and DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems.
- Identify and effectively manage technical risk items related to process controls to ensure project success.
- Oversee and manage a team's schedule, budget, and quality, which may include in-house design teams, remote engineering centers, or external engineering EPC firms.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in control and instrumentation systems for process plants, with the ability to provide and discuss examples that demonstrate a deep understanding of the field.
- Experience in developing BPCS / SIS architectures, control applications, and hardware specifications using Siemens PCS7; familiarity with other controls platforms is a plus.
- Proficiency in instrumentation specification authoring within the Smart-Plant Instrumentation toolset.
- Demonstrated technical competence, leadership skills, and effective communication abilities.
