Airswift is seeking for a Spare Parts Procurement Lead to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company.  QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Engineering Degree or similar, relevant experience maybe taken if coupled with HNC/HND, however any qualification, technical or knowledge requirements may be waived through relevant work experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Requires effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to induce collaboration.
  • Reports correctly to the management and regularly updates the status of the areas where the role is responsible for as detailed below.
  • Stewards CONTRACTOR’s performance to ensure their compliance with the NFXP Project’s RSPL (Required Spare Parts List) requirements from document submission and PO placement until delivery.
  • Coordinates with LNG Operation Dept for RSPL document approval in a timely manner
  • Assists CONTRACTOR in resolving issues and problems related to RSPL and communicating with vendors to support on-time delivery.
  • Communicates with CONTRACTOR to agree required quantity to place PO and coordinates all final documentation close-out and handover from CONTRACTOR to COMPANY’s designated delivery point.
  • Monitors CONTRACTOR’s formal issue of 1st draft of each item on the RSPL list through to completion and delivery and all documentation of required spare parts; including expediting the delivery to CONTRACTOR’s warehouse and ensuring the storage records are maintained.
  • Checks CONTRACTOR’s reimbursable cost and verifies invoices and facilitates payment verification and liases with the finance team as needed.
  • Works effectively within established policies and procedures and participates in the further development of required procedures and participates as part of the team to effect the Project’s successful close-out.
EXPERIENCE:
  • 10 years of experience in Procurement and Expediting experience in major capital projects
  • Experience of spare parts management either directly or with EPCI CONTRACTOR, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry
  • Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from variety of cultural backgrounds
  • High level of reporting skill to present the analysis of current status and forecast plan
  • Worldwide experience with contractors in particular those involved in the procurement activities for Offshore LNG production facilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT
  • Application and indepth knowledge of stakeholder specifications and a working knowledge of Industry standards
