What is the opportunity? CACEIS Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is a processing center of operational excellence supporting multiple countries across different time zones. As a Centre of Excellence, the team in Malaysia provides asset services, custody, and payments for clients in Europe with a global operating model that maximizes efficiencies across time zones, supports 17/5 operational capability with the "follow the sun" model, enhances scalability of our global operations, and implements standardized processes. As a member of the CACEIS Malaysia Executive Committee (EXCO), this position is accountable to provide oversight and leadership for all local Technology aspects (applications & infrastructure) and to provide leadership and coordination to the IT professionals in the region driving Development, Function Support, Production, End User Support and Infrastructure activities. This role oversees the implementation of continuous quality, efficiency and risk mitigation programs for the IT Malaysia activities. What will you do:
- Act as a Facilitator and partner with CACEIS IT, and with the Malaysia Senior Business heads.
- Act as the senior escalation point for IT issues by taking the day-to-day responsibility for managing IT issues and monitoring the quality of IT services impacting the region and setting up of the remediation plan if/when needed, for management and resolution of IT related audit, risk and compliance items owned locally.
- Act as the local relay of the CACEIS IT by endorsing the IT strategy defined at CACEIS Group; communicating the CACEIS IT strategy and its application and ensuring the local IT practices with all corporate policies and standards and strategic directions established by the Company.
- Leverage on the Global CACEIS IT to ensure the appropriate IT Application and, infrastructure processes are managed to safeguard the integrity, stability, safety and soundness of the Company and fulfil the local technology needs.
- Local oversight on the IT cost/charges back impacting the region.
- Strong leadership skills in leading multi-discipline technology groups, application portfolios and technology solutions for the financial industry.
- Sound knowledge in Technology development, infrastructure, IT project management.
- Proven ability to anticipate and identify IT risks and devise effective mitigations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to produce concise and effective presentations.
- Experience of transformational change across Data, Business Process and Technology.
- Strong Impact & Influence skills – multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment and handling ambiguity.
- High Collaboration skills – able to get along well with others on the team, other departments and support collaboration.
