We are now looking for another team mate to join us in the Suez Plant as the Continuous Improvement Manager (CI Manager) . Can you say ‘yes’?... Do you treat your colleagues with respect? Do you have a proven track record of delivering results? Lead the Continuous Improvement / Lead the transformation plan across the Suez Plant. Ensuring CI becomes part of the culture and a standard way of work. What you’ll be doing:

  • Adhere to Knauf Health and Safety policies and procedures, also Egyptian HSE laws and regulations to ensure the safety of him/herself and others.
  • Maintain high standards of Health and Safety, Quality and security in the work environment, ensuring compliance with ISO and Knauf standards.
  • Manage the organisational business system map and embed it into our daily work routine.
  • Set service-related customer metrics within each process.
  • Use available internal and external benchmarks to measure against best practices.
  • Drive the setup and integration of daily management into all areas.
  • Daily management of processes and delivering benefits.
  • Standardise templates, tools and processes and ensure compliance to these methods, through document control.
  • Carry out advanced data collection and analysis for process mapping, develop budgets and cost analysis to determine project feasibility.
  • Identify and facilitate process improvement projects, training/ workshops to drive cultural change.
  • Bring functions together collaboratively to influence benefits increase and decrease Supply Chain / Value Stream.
  • Coach and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Standardised and embedded suite of CI / process tools.
  • Ensure that employees understand and implement process thinking and Lean tools in their daily work routine.
  • Urge colleagues come up with their own CI initiatives with tangible waste savings / efficiency gains.
  • Adopt a culture of “can do” and “just do”.
  • Develop 5S events.
  • Work with management team to ensure site KPI are met.
What we’d love for you to have: We are interested in you as a person; your attitude, behaviors and values. As long as you have the willingness to learn anything you need for the role that you don't already have, we'd love to speak to you. If you have experience in the following areas – this is an added advantage:
  • Proven track record of financial delivery through the application of CI practices.
  • Formally trained in Operational Excellence with accreditation to Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferable although an accredited greenbelt with practical project experience would also be considered.
  • Experience of successful cultural change in a manufacturing environment (overcoming and supporting others overcome obstacles).
  • Evidence of establishing CI in a high performing organisation.
  • Proven track record of influencing key stakeholders and holding individuals / teams to take accountability for CI/Lean.
  • Able to simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with and influence others in a fast-paced environment, ability to work shifts as required.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and ERP applications.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent within a scientific or engineering discipline or relevant level experience.
