Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based, or Internet-related computer programs. Code may be used in commercial or end-user applications, such as materials management, financial management, HRIS, mobile apps, or desktop applications products. Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. What you'll be doing We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer – ServiceNow to support the business in achieving its strategic objectives . As a Senior DevOps Engineer your key function will be to take responsibility for the development of our ITSM platform by prototyping, implementing, deployment and supporting the c ustomisation or configuration in line with change requests, new services introduction and/or evolving business rules or requirements. This may include driving the vendor to develop the expected functionality at times. What we expect you to do

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to prepare a functional requirements document which provide the translation of the functional requirements into technical specifications.
• Use your analytical skills to scrutinise business requirements and ensure that the designed solution meets these requirements, understanding the project scope prior to documenting the development plan.
• Develop the approved code and produce a prototype of the expected functionality, validating and finalising the development following the required change management and release process.
• Work closely with technical teams to assist with the installation and deployment of the application, including:
• Implementation preparation
• Implementation of the solution into the production environment
• Resolution of any problems identified in the integration and test phases
• Participate and be actively involved in the Global Services Development and Support processes, including change and release management, training of end-users and the provision of support.

Here's what we are looking for in candidates for this job

• ServiceNow Certified Developer skills
• ServiceNow Certified Implemtation Specialist skills
• Degree or diploma in Information Systems would be preferred
• 4+ years’ experience with web application development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
• 4+ years of experience with one or more JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular)
• Experience with git version control
• Experience working in agile development environments
• Technical understanding and experience in the following domains:

• Networks, Internet, modern protocols and email, SMTP, POP3
• Scripting through JavaScript, CSS, XML
• HTML and XHTML
• AJAX

• Experience in web services, via APIs (Soap or Rest)
• Knowledge of relational databases
• Understanding ITIL principles
• Understanding of systems in general
• Analytical skills with attention to detail
• JIRA / Confluence experience
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts
