Counsellor
Listed 2 days Ago Visionwest Community Trust Non-profit - Social Services About the Role We are looking for someone with a professional qualification in counselling, ie full membership of NZAC or NZCCA. Experience working in a counselling role, particularly working with children, youth and family. This role will be 28 hours per week, Monday to Thursday. Some Key Responsibilities- Effective delivery of quality counselling services.
- Promote and maintain effective and efficient teamwork.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships.
- Experience working effectively in a counselling role, particularly working with children, youth and adults.
- A professional qualification as detailed above.
- Must have experience working with ACC sensitive claims clients.
- Knowledge of sector standards and the principles underpinning provision of counselling services.
- High level of written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety issues including client safety and worker safety.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated skills in crisis intervention.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other health professionals, providers and organisations.
- Be self-motivated and proactive with a high level of initiative.
- Ability to work effectively both cross-culturally, and with a wide range of people.
