Galway, Valeo Vision Systems VVS is the world leader in providing advanced driver-assistance and automated parking systems. The Computer Vision Department is responsible for developing custom-built state-of-the-art algorithms intrinsically designed to leverage the full power of today's most advanced multi-core automotive embedded platforms. Computer vision functions including 3D object detection, pedestrian and vehicle classification, trajectory mapping, online calibration, lens soiling detection, collision mitigation, lane and park-slot detection, and much more feed into a detailed map of the vehicle's environment via advanced sensor fusion. The department apply state of the art computer vision techniques to the automotive domain; object detection, classification, structure-from-motion, localisation & mapping, and machine & deep learning. The team specialise in redefining state-of-the-art computer vision and delivering next-generation advanced driver-assistance and automated driving systems for leading European, American and Asian OEMs. Role Overview The Software Architect (SwArch) has to ensure the definition of a Sw architecture matching the Sw requirements for the Sw under his/her responsibility. Responsibilities:

• Perform intermediate baselining required of output deliverables under his/her responsibility
• Develop and maintain the Software Architecture [SwA] of his area of responsibility
• Analysis new and changed input Sw requirements
• Allocate Sw requirements to design elements of the Sw architecture
• Define, detail and maintain Sw interfaces between SwComp within a given SwE of the Sw architecture and documents this in the [SwA]
• Perform Software Safety Design Analysis for the Software Architecture [SwA] of his area of responsibility
• Participate in reviews and acceptance of his/her input documents
• Participate in reviews of his/her output deliverables and resolves open findings
• Participate and supports in reviews of the [SwIntgTestSpec] and resolves open findings
• React on SIQ requests and participate in SIQ meetings

Qualifications - External Qualifications and Experience:

• Honours Degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Masters or PhD level qualification would be an advantage
• 5+ years experience in Sw architecture and design
• 12+ years Embedded software development in automotive industry
• Understanding of Sw development life cycle
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE®)
