Head of Compliance

Scope: One of our multinational fintech client is looking to hire head of compliance for their head office in Lahore, Pakistan. Scope is to ensure our company adheres to legal standards and in-house policies. You will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as provide guidance on compliance matters. You are expected to be well-versed in legal guidelines and corporate governance best practices. Duties:
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and instructions.
- Development of end-to-end compliance programs and all allied policies, procedures, methods, tools, and systems to ensure monitor/oversee their entity-wide implementation.
- Report findings on compliance issues to Senior Management through the Compliance Committee of Management on a periodic basis.
- Report to Senior Management promptly on any material incidents of noncompliance Liaise with State Bank of Pakistan & Law Enforcement Agencies and serve as focal person on all matters about the bank.
- Ensure that regulatory enforcement actions plans are implemented in letter and in spirit within a given time frame and in manner as prescribed by the regulatory authority.
- Update all relevant stakeholder’s changes in the applicable Rules, Regulation and Acts, preparation of interpretation where needed, and ensuring compliances where required.
- Conducting trainings at an entity level on the SECP Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations at a regular interval Drafting minutes of meeting of Board of Directors, Compliance Committee for senior management review.
- Filing of statutory forms as and when required.
- Liaison with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and all relevant regulatory authorities on updating compliance status and reporting. Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations, industry trends and best practices to ensure SeedCred Financials Compliance with SECP regulations.
- Develop risk management strategies to safeguard the company’s interest.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and authorities.
- Manage regulatory inquiries and audits, ensuring timely and accurate response.
- Prepare and present regular compliance reports to senior management.
- Manage SECP regulatory requirements and stay updated with regulatory development.
Requirements
- Good relationship with regulatory bodies like SBP & SECP and other stakeholders
- Expert knowledge of micro-financing lending business and regulatory compliance for the NBFC
- Working experience in similar role for at least 8-10 years.
