Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking a Bilingual Training Consultant, for one of our key government clients. The consultant will evaluate the existing training model and provide an operational training modernization and instructional design strategy for implementation to provide ongoing support/development.
Candidate MUST have the following:
- Language requirement: Bilingual (English / French);
- Significant expertise in developing and designing operational or professional learning – “significant expertise” is defined as having at least five (5) years’ experience in delivering and/or developing professional learning programs;
- Acceptable training or human resources accreditation; and
- Security clearance at the Reliability level;
Candidate SHOULD have the following experience:
- Providing consultation in English and French;
- Identifying key risks, challenges and gaps in existing national training program;
- Designing a sustainable national training model to support operational needs. The model must include a modernization plan, along with an ongoing maintenance strategy for ensuring content remains updated;
- Identifying key recommendations and proposed work plan for the implementation of training modernization strategy;
- Designing specific learning paths for different operational positions;
- Identifying (or recommend) different training delivery methods to respond to staff needs and ensure strong learner engagement. For example, having learning content available at point-of-need in a self-directed and user friendly manner;
- Reviewing current training materials and structure to identify key gaps and issues, in consultation with subject matter experts, including regions, and formally identify and catalogue requisite modules;
- Providing recommendations on instructional design for training modernization by:
- Identifying proper learning foundation for sustained success, including ongoing maintenance and update of training content;
- Identifying clear learning paths based on positional requirements;
- Providing integrated instructional design strategy, including a national training hub; and
- Identifying all necessary modules and components requiring training, including training methodology based on established professional learning principles.
- Identifying key gaps/risks/challenges in achieving implementation and mitigation strategies to address them;
- Identifying key metrics and methodology to measure training efficiency and high-traffic or problematic areas; and
- General understanding of the technical environment and operational system limitations to provide sound recommendations for instructional design.
