Job Summary: You will be working to develop indirect strategy, partner recruitment, enablement, nurturing, and supporting sales and field engagement to maximize revenue opportunities with partners in Africa, focused on South Africa.  With partners viewed as a strategic growth engine and Altair’s unique market proposition, we are looking for a pioneering individual with a passion for developing strategic scale partnerships, demonstrated by measurable joint pipeline, revenue, and customer satisfaction. To achieve this, you will work closely with regional country and vertical field management, marketing, technical, and development teams. What You Will Do:

  • Recruit, enable, scale and manage effectively our regional ecosystem of resellers, system integrators and consulting partners across Africa, focused on South Africa.
  • Support and keep refining Altair’s Go-to-Market strategy, working with Altair’s global, regional and vertical management teams.
  • Build trusted relationships with partners, evangelizing product and maintain 3 C’s (Capacity, Capability and Coverage) of Partners.
  • Responsible for Partner onboarding, utilizing resources, driving marketing activities, leads distribution and management.
  • Work with partners to ensure they deliver against monthly/quarterly/yearly revenue targets and forecast effectively by developing and tracking Partner’s key performance indicators and conducting Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Collaborate with the wider Global Sales, Pre-Sales, Marketing and partner teams
  • Attend and support customer-facing activities: meetings, demos, events (Webinars, Trade Shows, etc.)
  • Keep updated with Altair products/solutions, industry trends and competitive offerings, attend relevant training as directed.
What You Will Need: Basics:
  • Bachelor’s or Engineering Degree with work experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a Partner/Channel Manager.
  • 3+ years with proven sales experience in selling engineering software design solutions, simulations, or analysis (CAE).
  • Strong business planning, presentation, and negotiation skills married with strong business acumen and a successful background in enterprise value-based selling.
  • Willingness to “roll up the sleeves” and support partners in developing and growing their sales, technical and delivery capabilities.
  • Excellent communication & relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working with South-African companies.
  • Fluency in English
  • Unending enthusiasm to learn.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
Preferred:
  • Enterprise data analytics (data science, data visualization, data engineering, or related technologies) ideally in a channel role.
  • Ability to work through short or long sales cycles, from transactional to enterprise sales.
  • Microsoft Office Suite and Salesfore.com or other CRM experience.
  • Marketing knowledge – will be a great asset.
